ELEVEN APPOINTMENTS MADE
President and Fellows Awarded Twelve Scholarships.
At the last meeting of the President and Fellows of the University eleven appointments were made and 12 scholarships awarded. Leave of absence was also granted to Professor Albert Sauveur for the first half of next year. The appointments are as follows: George Parkman Denny '09 as Supervisor of Students' Health, Medical School; Alfred Clarence Redfield as Assistant in Chemistry; Weston Percival Chamberlain as lecturer on Military Medicine; Alfred Chester Hanford as Instructor in Government; George Falley Ninde as Instructor in Engineering Sciences; Brackett Kirkwood Thorogood as Instructor in Engineering Sciences; Addison Webster Moore as lecturer on Philosophy; James Bryant Conant '14 as Instructor in Chemistry; Fitz Roy Carrington as lecturer on the History of Engraving; Edward Waldo Forbes '95 as lecturer on Fine Arts; and George Parker Winship as lecturer on the History of Printing. The resignation of Malcolm McLeod '04 as Instructor in English was accepted.
The following scholarship awards were made: Divinity School Scholarships to R. J. Wynne and S. D. Malouf; Class of 1867 Scholarship to P. R. Doolin '20; Mary L. Whitney Scholarship to A. W. Marget '20; Crowninshield Scholarship to L. M. Davidoff '20; Lucy Osgood Scholarship to C. T. Chu '17; Mary 17. Whitney Scholarship to J. W. Merten '20; Connecticut Valley Harvard Club Scholarship to L. W. Smith '20; Thomas Hall Scholarships to E. N. Leonard '20 and P. B. Flanders '20; Boston Newsboys' Scholarship to J. Levy '18; and Francis H. Burr, Scholarship to W. B. Snow '18.
