Lieut. Magruder Made Captain in Promotion

Lieutenant William H. Magruder '40, on active duty with the Harvard ROTC unit since August 18, 1942, has been promoted to the grade of captain, it was announced today by the Department of Military Science in Shannon Hall.

Captain Magruder, who has served here as instructor in Military Science I, and as stable officer, received his commission as Second Lieutenant at the College when he graduated in 1940. Before coming here last August, he was instructor at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
