Football Trophy to Kinnick

NEW YORK--Nile Kinnick, Iowa University halfback, has won the Heisman Memorial Trophy, Committee Chairman Willard B. Prince announced tonight.

Kinnick won the trophy, awarded annually by the Downtown Athletic Club of New York to the country's outstanding football player, by a wide margin. His total of 651 points far outshadowed that of Tom Harmon, Michigan, Paul Christman, Missouri, and George Cafego, Tennessee, who finished in the order named.

Harmon polled 405 points, Christman 391, and Cafego 296.
