A sizable contingent of varsity trackmen will participate in the annual Boston Athletic Association meet at the Garden next Saturday night.
It does not seem likely that any of the Harvard representatives will score stunning individual triumphs; but the Crimson will enter two strong relay teams.
A quartet composed of Lee Barnes, Pat Liles, Joel Landau, and French Anderson will go in the mile-relay, while Willie Thompson, Art Cahn, Ed Martin, and Pete Reider will attempt to negotiate the two-mile distance.
Al Gordon will compete in the Jack Ryder 440-yard run, Joel Landau in the hurdles, and Dave Brahms in the half-mile. A large group of Crimson field-events men will be headed by weight-throwers John DuMoulin and Jim Doty.
Meanwhile, in New York City, the varsity fencers will take on Columbia, a perennial power in the world of swordplay.
