IT has been suggested that if the gas in some of the College buildings were confined to narrower limits, instead of being allowed to escape until the basements are filled, it would be more conducive to the purpose for which it is intended. And furthermore, if a greater quantity could be furnished in the Reading Room it would be very acceptable. The afflicted inhabitants of Holworthy affirm that changes in the "twinkling of an eye" from light to sudden darkness are no unfrequent things in that building. Cannot some improvement in this line be made by those having the matter in charge?
