We are pleased to announce that next year a new German course will be opened to seniors. Hitherto, there have been very few desirable courses in this useful language, and in general it has met with neither the success nor popularity that has attended the French courses, which are, perhaps, the best-conducted courses in modern languages that the curriculum possesses. We hope, however, that the new course will be made attractive, and, what is of equal importance, valuable, which latter can be done only by placing the course in charge of a competent instructor.
