A Finnish student, Mr. Kaarlo Krohn, has been travelling in Esthonia, collecting the folk-songs, the number of which surpassed all expectation. Mr. Krohn has during this summer obtained over 1000 and the Finnish Literary Society in Helsingfors has now over 13,000 such songs in its possession.
