The assurance given by Col. Codman of the board of overseers, at the dinner of the New York Harvard Club, that the corporation are not in favor of the present movement against the study of Greek apparently settles this momentous question for some time to come, since the speech seems to have been made with authority. As an experiment the proposed change could not have been viewed but with the greatest anxiety by all friends of the college. Its abordment for the present, at least, must be regarded with relief.
