We cannot urge too strongly the freshmen to enter the sports which will be held for their class this fall under the auspices of the H. A. A. There is a strong feeling with many men to refrain from taking part in these events for fear of making fools of themselves, as they call it. This feeling, which is mere bashfulness, should be gotten over as quickly as possible, and no way is better than by coming out and competing in the athletic sports. '88 has shown up well on the foot ball field and has offered a number of candidates for the crew and nine. Keep this up, '88, and do better still by the Athletic Association. Let every man who has the slightest show for any event, enter his name and do his best for the class and the college.
