The spring races of the H. C. C. will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 10 A. M. Races will be started from the Union boat-house. There will be three races : 1, sailing, two miles on and off the wind; 2, paddling, three-quarters of a mile; 3, tandem paddling, three-quarters of a mile. The prizes will be cups. Second prizes will be given in races where four or more canoes start. Races are open only to members of the club. Persons may join the club upon payment to the treasurer of $3, for active membership; $1 for associate membership, besides the cost of the club burgee.
