Inquiries have been frequent, of late, as to the fate of the petition for the abolition of compulsory attendance at prayers, which created such a stir among the students some five weeks ago. We would say that the task of preparing this document for presentation to the authorities has been no easy one, and that much energy has been shown by the gentlemen having the matter in charge. The petition, with 900 signatures affixed, has now been handed in. What action will be taken upon is, it is impossible to predict. It is said, however, that there is, among the faculty, a strong feeling in favor of the proposed reform.
