The annual convention was held in the Sturtevant House, New York, on Saturday last. The delegates present were: From Princeton, C. L. Riggs, W. L. Hodge; from University of New York. C. C. Miller, H. A. Matthews; from Stevens Institute, J. C. Black, F. B. Stevens, Jr.; from Harvard, L. McK. Garrison.

An application from Lehigh for admission was refused, on the ground that she has not as yet shown proficiency enough in the sport, and laid over till the following year.

The championship for 1886 was then formally awarded to Harvard.

The following officers were elected for the coming year. President, W. L. Hodge, Princeton; vice-president, H. A. Matthews, University of New York; secretary and treasurer, F. B. Stevens, Jr., Stevens Institute; executive committee: Chairman, F. B. Stevens, Jr., ex officio; S. C. Hodge, Princeton; C. C. Miller, University of New York; T. D. Davidson, Harvard.

The constitution was amended as follows:

I. "It shall hereafter be left to the option of teams of the association whether they choose to use a field-captain or not, provided said captain be an undergraduate or graduate of that college in regular standing."

II. "That in the case of an intentional foul on the part of a field captain being claimed by the opposing captain, the referee should decide upon his being ruled off the field; and if he shall so decide to rule him off the field, there shall be no permission to replace said field captain."

The executive committee is empowered to revise the rules of the association issued in 1883.
