We are sorry that the management of the base ball nine has not seen fit to explain the statement made in a recent communication, that a large number of reserved seats for the Yale game had been sold in advance of the public sale. The communication was entirely conrteous in its tone and it seemed to us that, in justice to the writer and the college at large, as well as to the management itself, it required an explanation of the facts as it stated them. As it is the men in college must accept the facts as they were stated, and give them their own interpretation, which is not likely to be a charitable one,
