Cornel West, Harvard Affiliates Call for University to Divest from ‘Israeli Apartheid’ at Rally
At the Yale mass meeting Saturday a fair proportion of the university was present. The report of the committee was first accepted to express satisfaction with their work; then a motion of definite approval of the attitude of the report was passed. The committee demands one game of football at New York, the barring of special students from the teams and a deciding game of baseball on neutral grounds in case of a tie. A motion that the committee confer with Princeton with a view to making similar arrangements brought out the strong feeling of Yale regarding discrimination against Princeton, but was finally laid on the table because it was thought best to finish the business in hand first. The committee was instructed to continue their conference with Harvard.
