The annual spring games of Columbia College will be held at Berkeley Oval on Wednesday, May 14, at 2.30 p. m. The contests will be under the direction of the Columbia College Athletic Union, the new organization in which are consolidated all the athletic interests of the college. The usual track and field events will be open to Columbia men only.
There will be two contests open only to Columbia students who have never won a prize. These are a 100 yard scratch run and a half-mile race. Handsome prizes will be given to the winners and to second men.
A tug-of-war is the only contest in which outside athletes may compete. Teams from the Berkeley Athletic Club, the Acorn Club, the New York Athletic Club, and other organizations are expected to enter.
The contests between the sophomores and freshmen will be held at the same places and on the same afternoon, the list of events being identical with that of the college games.
