The Spring Tournament of the Phillips Andover Athletic Association was held at Andover last Saturday. The weather was perfect and all conditions favorable for a successful meeting. Two records were broken, the 440 yds. dash by Lyon '90, and the three mile run by Barrett '91. Ninety took first place with 8 firsts and 8 seconds; ninety-two second, 7 firsts and 5 seconds.

The events resulted as follows:

100 yards dash.- Woodruff '92, 11 sec. Lyon second.

Kid's race.- Wadhams '93, 12 2-5 sec. Belding second.

Putting the shot.- Perham '90, 33 ft. 6 in. Perkins second, 30 ft. 6 in.

120 yards hurdle.- Woodruff '92, 19 2-5 sec.; Holmes was a close second.

Wheelbarrow race.- Won by Perkins '92, in 13 4-5 sec. Foss second.

Standing broad jump.- Woodruff '92, 9 ft. 8 1-2 in. Eaton second, 9 ft. 4 in.

One mile run.- Curtis '90, 5 min. 3 4-5 sec. Chamberlain second.

220 yards dash.- Lyon '90, 25 1-2 sec.

Running broad jump.- Holmes '90, 19 ft.

Throwing hammer.- Perkins '92, 60 ft. 4 in.

Throwing base ball.- Jones '91, 301 ft. 11 in.

Pole vault.- Foss '92, 8 ft. 1-4 in.

Half mile run.- Curtis '90, 2 min. 18 3-5 sec.

Three mile race.- Barrett '91, 19 min. 18 1-2 sec.

Running high jump.- Holmes '90, 5 ft. 2 in. Grant second.

Sack race.- Perham '90.

Broad pole vault.- Foss '92, 21 ft.

440 yards dash.- Lyon '90, 56 4-5 sec.

The officers of the tournament were: judges, A. V. Wadhams, G. D. Pettee, M. S. McCurdy; starter, J. P. Chamberlain; timers, Pettee, Baird and McBirney; clerk of the course, F. de P. Townsend.
