The first game of the class championship series will be played tomorrow afternoon on Norton's Field. Owing to the early coming of twilight the game will be called sharp at 3.45.
It is perhaps unnecessary to urge upon the freshmen the obligation which they are under of turning out to give their team enthusiastic support, but it should be borne well in mind by Ninety-five that a game with Yale awaits their eleven and that it is most important that a good showing be made in the class championship series, no better practice being possible and no stimulus more inspiring than the victory which they have a chance of winning.
Ninety-four with a victory over Yale to their classes' credit it is unnecessary to stimulate to sustain the reputation of their foot ball team.
The game should prove exciting and hard played throughout. Each team has made about the same showing against elevens with which both have played. The freshmen are light in the line but they have been playing with snap and have acquired a good deal of team play under Mr. Morse's coaching.
At this time it has not been definitely decided how the team will line up. It will be picked, however, from the following men: Wadsworth, Pierce, Wardner, Webb, Murchie, Whitten, Richardson, Wrenn, McNear, Jackson, Hyler, Boyden, Adams, Walker, Teele, Potter, Mills, Hitch and Phelan.
Ninety-four will line up as follows:
Rushers - Lad 1, McDonald, Blake, Whitney or Lee, Williams, Beals, (capt.), Weed; quarter-back, H. Cabot; left half-back, Borden; right half-back, Gardiner; full-back, Hoag.
