The annual indoor meeting of the Manhattan Athletic Club will take place at Madison Square Garden, New York, on Saturday, March 14, at 8. p. m. The following events are open to all amateurs under A. A. U. rules: those that are handicap are, 70 yards dash (limit 4 yards), 70 yards, 3 ft. 6 in. hurdle, (limit 5 yards), 220 yards dash (limit 10 yards), 440 yards run (limit 20 yards), 1000 yards run (limit 45 yards), 1 mile run (limit 75 yards), 5 mile run (limit 1 min. 30 sec.), 1 mile walk (limit 35 sec.), running broad jump (limit 16 inches). The two following events are scratch: Pole vault (for distance) and 440 yards run (novice). Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third men in each event. Entries close March 7, with S. J. Cornell, Madison Avenue and 45th Street, New York. The entrance fee is 50 cents for each event and entries must be filled out on M. A. C. entry blanks, obtainable of C. R. Bardeen, secretary of H. A. A.
