Brown 6; Harvard 3.
Brown got a fine lead in the first two innings. Tenney made a home run in the first, fortunately when the bases were empty. In the second three hits, a base on balls, and a passed ball brought in three more runs. This lead Harvard found it impossible to overcome. In the first inning we failed to score, though Dean led off with a three base hit. In the fourth inning we made two runs on Hovey's two bagger, Trafford's sacrifice, a steal and Thurston's error. Our only other run was earned in the eighth by Hallowell's hit, and Frothingham's fine three bagger.
