The management of the athletic team at Yale has decided to have a series of gymnasium contests on Tuesday and Friday evenings of each week throughout the winter. Their contests are to consist of putting the shot and a high jump. There is to be a regular system of handicaps and a silver cup is to be given to the man scoring the greatest number of points during the series. The first of these contests was held last Tuesday; there were eight men who entered for the shot putting and ten for the high jump.
