About thirty successful candidates for the Freshman Glee Club met in Robert's Hall yesterday afternoon and elected officers for the organization. It was decided that the office of president be made temporary until the first week in January. Mr. S. Howell was elected president, and Mr. J. Hubbard secretary and treasurer. It was thought best to defer the choosing of a leader until a more thorough organization was effected. At the beginning of the year the outlook for a good club was rather poor, but a large number of new men have presented themselves as candidates, and it is thought from this number, together with the best of those already chosen, a freshman glee club can be picked out, which will compare most favorably with the clubs of former years.
