The board of management of the Yale Infirmary has purchased a lot on Prospect Street, one of the finest residence streets in New Haven, upon which will be erected the Yale Home or Infirmary. The fund for this purpose has already reached $30,000, and it is expected that the contributions from alumni in the west will raise the amount to $60,000. Plans for the building are now being designed and as soon as they are accepted, work will be begun. It is intended that it will be ready for occupancy by the time the next college year opens. The building will have accommodations for fifteen persons, and the rooms will be made as homelike as possible, having open fireplaces, etc.

The object of the home is to afford a place where members of the university can be properly cared for when ill. The project was started about a year ago and has met with the approval of the alumni at large and the contributions have been secured without difficulty. The home will be in charge of a physician and a matron and it will fill a long felt want of the university.
