The Chicago University is sending out the prospectus of the Journal of Political Economy, which will be published by the university press. This publication will be a quarterly, edited by Dr. J. Laurence Laughlin, Harvard '73, who is to be head professor of political economy and will deal with important questions in political economy, finance and statistics. Some of the most distinguished economists of Europe and the United States have already promised contributions for the Journal, the first of which will be issued this fall.
