In the class series, yesterday the seniors defeated the freshmen by timely batting and good mob work in the tenth inning. The freshmen took the lead in the third inning and held it till the ninth, when they weakened considerably.

The weak points of the freshman team are still third and short. Had these positions been covered better yesterday the freshmen would have won the game. Toward the end of the game the crowds supporting both nines were reinforced by men coming from the 'varsity game. During the ninth and tenth innings great enthusiasm was shown, the crowd gathering on the base lines and keeping up a continuous cheering. In the ninth inning Ninety made three runs, tying the score, but the freshmen failed to score in their half of the inning. In the next inning the freshmen went all to pieces, besides being handicapped by Wood's wretched umpiring. The score:
