The annual base ball game between the Exeter and Andover nines took place at Andover last Saturday afternoon and resulted in a victory for Andover by a score of 10 to 5.
The weather was perfect and the crowd was the largest ever seen at a contest between the two schools.
Andover went to the bat first and scored three runs in the first inning and in the second inning they got 6 more runs. This big lead made Andover practically sure of the game and although for the next seven innings Exeter played a much better game they could not catch up. Brown captain of the Exeter nine played a beautiful game game at short. He will enter Harvard '96. Following is a score by innings:
Innings, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Andover, 3 6 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 - 10
Exeters, 0 2 2 0 0 0 0 1 0 - 8
