The business status of the Co-operative Society is better this year than at any time previous. Under the managment of Mr. Lyford the volume of business has increased from $62,000 in the year 1889-90, to $107,000 in the year just closed. A dividend of $5000 will be declared as soon as the directory comes out. The management finds it impracticable to send dividends to the members until their addresses are accurately known. This dividend will be about $1000 larger than the one declared a year ago.
