Intercollegiate Tennis.

The best playing in the intercollegiate tennis was shown in the semi-finals of the singles on Thursday, in the match between John Howland of Yale and Malcolm Chace of Brown. Howland's brilliant placing came near winning him the match, but Chace recovered from his surprise after the first set and tired his opponent out by continuous lobbing from the back line. Score, Chace, 0-6, 6-3, 6-4.

In the match between Budlong of Brown and Foote of Yale, play was stopped by darkness after each had won a set, 6-4. Foote was expected to win, and would then meet Chace in the finals.
