Yesterday evening, at a meeting of the Harvard Banjo Club, the following officers were elected: President, J. L. Bremer '96; secretary and treasurer, M. E. Stone '97; leader, J. M. Little '97. The following men were elected members: J. B. Read '95, A. R. Sheriff '96, M. Lincoln '96, H. R. Storrs '96, H. Turner '97, J. C. Kimberly '97.
Prohibition Club.The Harvard Prohibition Club held a very pleasant meeting Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Johnson. Mrs. Mabel MacCoy, the vice-president of the National Intercollegiate Prohibition Association, addressed the club, and after the address led a lively discussion in which all the members took part.
Engineering Society.The electrical section of the Engineering Society met last evening. The following four papers were read: Frequency of Alternating currents, by H. B. Shaw Gr.; Comparison of Polyphase and Direct Current Motors, by C. Stevens '95; Water-power Plants in Vermont, by W. E. Clark '95; The Potential Are Lamp, by J. H. Fedeler '97. No business was transacted.
