University of Pennsylvania Beats Yale.

On Thursday afternoon the University of Pennsylvania beat Yale in their first game of baseball by a score of 11 to 6. As was to be expected, the fielding on both sides was a little loose; but the pitchers did fairly good work, Bayne, of the University of Pennsylvania being a little more effective than Carter.

Yale led up to the ninth inning with the score 6 to 5, but at this point her nine went to pieces. Pennsylvania, too, did some very heavy hitting here, scoring six runs; and in the last half of the inning Yale was shut out.
