French Play.

About sixteen men presented themselves at the rehearsal for the ballet of the French Play yesterday. They were taught merely the rudimentary steps in dancing. The material for the most part was excellent, the men learning what was required of them very rapidly. In the course of a week or so the men will be sifted out, as the stage is not large enough for more than ten or twelve in the ballet. The next rehearsal will be in the same place on Friday at 4.30.
