Each man plays one game with every other man in his section. First and second men enter the second round. First move shall be determined by lot. Drawn games count as half to each player. The result of all games must be left at Little's 7 before 6.30 Monday evening, October 22.

Every game not played will count as a lost game for both parties, unless otherwise decided by the executive committee, acting upon protest of the player not at fault. Such protest must be made within 24 hours after the close of the round.
