The last number of Harper's Weekly contains an article on the Latin Paly, with nine illustrations taken from photographs.

The Cleveland Central High School is the largest high school in the United States, having an enrolment of 1,685 students. The public schools send over eighty per cent. of their graduates to high schools of the city.

Andover and Worcester Academy will have a debate in Andover on May 22 upon the question: "Resolved, That the principles of the Swiss Referendum should be adopted in the United States." Governor Greenhalge will preside.

The American Institute of instruction will meet in convention at Bethlehem, N. H., July 9 to 12. Among the speakers will be William T. Harris, United States Commissioner of Education, and Presidents Eliot of Harvard, Tucker of Dartmouth, and Whitman of Colby.
