Townsend came out for the first time yesterday and rowed for part of the time at bow. He is probably the last of the old men who will come out. The crew had a rather harder day's work yesterday than usual on account of their not rowing for the past few days. The crew was coached by Fennessy as usual and rowed in the following order: Stroke, Kales; 7, Forbes; 6, Shepard; 5, Derby; 4, Fox; 3, Lewis; 2, Brewer; bow, Fairchild, (Townsend).
Fairchild was taken on the 'varsity yesterday.
