As February 22 is a holiday the next meeting of the Wendell Phillips Club will be held on Friday, March 1, at 7.30 p.m. All men wishing to become members of the Wendell Phillips Club are invited to speak at this meeting. Those who show special ability will at once be recommended for membership, but any man can have his name brought before the club by speaking twice. Freshmen may compete the same as others with the exception that though elected now their membership will not begin till the next college year. The subject for debate will be: "Resolved, That the Norwegian System should be adopted in Massachusetts." The CRIMSON for Feb. 18 contains briefs on practically this subject. Ample references for both sides are reserved in Gore Hall, alcove 5. The debate will be opened by two disputants and will then be thrown open for five-minute speeches from the house. Three members of the Faculty and two members of the club will act as judges.
