Yesterday morning the Committee on the Admission of Students held a meeting to pass on the results of the fall examinations for admission to the College. A similar meeting was held for the night before. The results of these two meetings, giving the number of students admitted by examination to both departments of the University, were made known yesterday afternoon. The figures do not include "dropped freshmen"; on the other hand a small fraction of the students admitted will not appear in the catalogue list of the freshman class. The figures cannot be accepted as showing the exact size of the entering class, but they show an interesting comparison with the corresponding figures of last year.
