No matches in singles were played yesterday.

In the semi-finals in doubles Holt and Ward beat Shaw and Marvin in straight sets chiefly through Ward's fine work at the net and Shaw and Marvin's poor lobbing.

Drinkwater and Palmer lost to Pierce and Goodridge in a well contested three set match, the features of which were Palmer's excellent lobbing and Goodridge's volleying.

Summary is as follows:

Doubles, Semi-Finals.

Holt and Ward beat Shaw and Marvin, 7-5, 6-1.

Pierce and Goodridge beat Drinkwater and Palmer, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The semi-finals in singles will be played today.

All men scheduled to play in the consolations must be on hand at 3.30 today or they will be defaulted.
