A Close Game with the Lampoon-Adovocate Eleven.
The CRIMSON scored their touchdown in the first half. A long run by Hayes brought the ball to the Lampoon's five yard line. Frothingham was then given the ball and carried it around left end for a touchdown. Hayes kicked a pretty goal. Time was called a few minutes later with the ball a short distance within the CRIMSON'S territory.
In the second half both elevens played a kicking game and there was no scoring although each side made a touchdown which was not allowed by the umpire. The ball kept changing hands on fumbles and offside play and stayed near the middle of the field the greater part of the time.
For the CRIMSON team Hayes, Fuller and Broughton put up the best game, while W. Johnson and Pillsbury played well for their opponents.
