In the first round of the University Golf Championship Tournament all but the following three matches have been played off: J. G. Forbes 1901, vs. W. B. Cutting, Jr., 1900; J. F. Curtis '99, vs. J. DeK. Towner '98, and H. W. Brown L. S. vs. J. H. Choate, Jr., L. S.
In the matches that were played off yesterday, T. M. Hastings '98, beat Stoughton Bell L. S., one up; G. C. Clark, Jr., 1901, beat C. R. Henderson, Jr., 1901, five up and three to play, and Chandler Robbins '99, beat E. R. Marvin '99, one up out of nineteen holes.
The second round must be played off by Thursday night. The drawings are as follows:
T. M. Hastings '98, vs. winner Forbes-Cutting match; G. M. Wheelock 1901, vs. winner Curtis-Towner match; G. C. Clark, Jr., 1901, vs. Chandler Robbins '99; M. E. Jenkins L. S., vs. winner Choat-Brown match.
