The lacrosse squad which has been practicing under the instruction of Captain H. C. Ring '98 is doing very good work and gives promise of a strong team in the spring.
Thus far the work has been confined to throwing and catching the ball, stick work and running. During the winter there will be practice three times a week in the cage and the men will take outdoor runs as often as possible. In addition four ice polo teams will be formed this winter to play when there is opportunity. This will serve to keep the men in good wind. In the spring a second lacrosse team will be formed to practice against the first.
Negotiations for next season's schedule have been begun but as yet no dates have been arranged. The following men are now with the squad: Ring, Woods, Purington, Chisholm, Taylor, Moline, N. Bird, G. Bird, Brown, Bumpus, Wright, Howland, Dearborn, Galbraithe, Richardson.
