The New Cage.

The work on the cage has been temporarily delayed owing to the failure of the steel company to forward the iron work at the promised time. The wood work, however, has been nearly finished and when the iron, which has now been shipped, arrives, the work will be pushed forward rapidly.

If the progress of the building is not unexpectedly delayed by bad weather it will probably be ready for the baseball practice soon after the first of February. In case, however, the new cage is not completed before the practice begins, the old Carey building will be used at first.
