The Cambridge Golf Club is expecting to buy the Pratt estate on Belmont street, Watertown, and lay out new links this spring, provided a certain number of new names can be secured by the first of March. If this is done the old links will be turned over to the Harvard Golf Club, though not until June or July as the new links will not be ready before then.
The Cambridge Club will not be changed to a country club as has been rumored but will limit itself to golf links and possibly tennis courts. The links are to have eighteen holes eventually but this spring only nine will be laid out.
