In the game with the Boston Cricket Club, which was played Wednesday and was not reported in yesterday's CRIMSON on account of lack of space, the Harvard cricket eleven met with its first defeat in two years. The score was 56 to 55. Though both Ward and Hastings were bowling very effectively, the fielding of the Harvard eleven was not sharp, and Boston got more runs than she deserved. Harvard was also exceedingly careless at the bat, and allowed two men to be run out.
Cricket Team Defeated.
