Pennsylvania-Columbia Debate.

The University of Pennsylvania will hold its annual debate with Columbia in the Academy of Music, Philadelphia, on Thursday, Dec. 13. The question reads as follows: "Resolved, That the United States should establish a system of graded subsidies, based upon mileage navigated by registered American vessels in foreign trade." Columbia has chosen the negative.

The Frazier Prize contest, at which the team from Pennsylvania will be chosen, will be held on Monday, Nov. 12. The debate with Michigan takes place later in the year.
