The annual fall regatta will be held from the Union Boat Club this afternoon at 2.30. The wherry race which was to come off at 2.15 has been declared off. The order of the other events is as follows:

At 2.30--The single shell race between Snite, Ells and Marshall will start from the Union Boat Club for a mile race to the Harvard Bridge.

At 3--The third and fourth Weld and third Newell graded crews will race from the Union Boat Club a mile and a half up stream.

At 3.30. -- The first two Freshman crews from each club will row over the same course.

At 4--The first two graded crews from each club will race up stream over the regular two mile course.

The officers in charge of the races are: Referee, D. Goodrich; judges at the finish, G. Blake and G. Boardman.

The first Weld graded crew is speedy at times but ragged at others. Their chief fault is slowness in getting forward. The order is: Stroke, G. Bancroft; 7, Ladd; 6, Shuebruk; 5, H. Bancroft; 4, Switzer; 3, Emory; 2, Evans (capt.); bow, Hartwell; cox., Goodwin.

The second crew has the same qualities as the first except that it has more snap and less staying power. The make-up is: Stroke, E. B. Roberts; 7, Brooks; 6, Burton; 5, Bent; 4, Pumpelly; 3, Loud; 2, Covel; bow, George; cox., Boothby.

The third and fourth crews are quick at starting but have not the necessary beef and strength. They are made up as follows:

Third--Stroke, Wolcott; 7, Francis; 6, Silebee; 5, Du Bois; 4, Farlow; 3, Richardson; 2, Barnes; bow, Burroughs; cox., Davidge.

Fourth -- Stroke, T. D. Roberts; 7, Piper; 6, Jaynes; 5, Ells; 4, Hale; 3, Jouett; 2, Peabody; bow, Gray; cox., Kelley.

The first Weld Freshman crew rows a fairly low stroke but is well together. When the stroke is hit up there is a tendency to rush the slides. The crew is slow at starting, but improves as it settles down. Their order is: Stroke, Macomber (capt.); 7, Minturn; 6, Thanisch; 5, Adams; 4, Lindsley; 3, Chadwick; 2, Krumbhaar; bow, Fairchild; cox., Swan.

The second Freshman crew is lively but erratic and not well together. Their make-up is: Stroke, Hanford; 7, Dillingham; 6, Cobb; 5, May; 4, Durfee; 3, Skelley; 2, Taft; bow, de Rham; cox., Otis.

The first Newell graded crew has a fair catch but is not so good on the recover. They are not very well together and are not able to take up the stroke well. They row as follows: Stroke, Brownell (capt.); 7, Blake, 6, Bullard; 5, Henderson; 4, Perkins; 3, Swaim; 2, Morris; bow, Goodell; cox., Howe.

The second graded crew at bow, three and stroke has been changed very recently, and is not at all well together. Their make-up now is: Stroke, Gerrish; 7, Merritt; 6, Gregg; 5, Platt; 4, Smith; 3, Brigham; 2, Foster; bow, Frost; cox., Jackson.

The third graded crew row a fairly good stroke but they do not compare with the first two eights in strength. They row as follows: Stroke, Bryant; 7, Letch-worth; 6, A. Fox; 5, Haycock; 4, Sweetser; 3, Stanton; 2, P. Fox; bow, Stover; cox., Shattuck.

The first Newell Freshman crew has rowed in the same order for a long time and consequently are steady and well together. They have a slight slump, however, at the finish and tend to row their oars out of the water. The order of the crew is: Stroke, M. Hunt; 7, Peabody, (capt.); 6, Bell; 5, Graves; 4, Stack; 3, Adler; 2, Ingram; bow, Peck; cox., Thorndike.

The second Freshmen row a slow stroke and as soon as they spurt show a tendency to rush their slides. Their body motion is uneven and the ragged blade work causes the boat to roll considerably. They row as follows: Stroke, Hague; 7, Crane; 6, Gardner; 5, Hull; 4, Welldon; 3, Blagden; 2, Tuckerman; bow, Marsalis; cox., Ivy.
