Weld Club Rowing.

The upper-class crews have now been rowing at the Weld for nearly a week and are showing expected sings of improvement. Very little change in the make-up of the different crews has been made and as a result they are rowing very well together, considering the short time they have been on the water. The first Junior and Sophomore crews are rowing in the best form, and show an encouraging amount of snap and life.

Including the six Freshman crews there are now 12 eights and three fours rowing regularly every afternoon. Of these, the Law School, Seniors and Juniors each have an eight and a four, while the Sophomore squad is graded into three full eights.

Practically all the coaching has been done thus far by Donovan, although another coach will probably soon be engaged to help him out. A coaching schedule, similar to that in use at the Newell, has been arranged as follows:

Mon., Wed., Fri.--1901, 3.30 to 4.30; 1900, 4.30 to 5.15; Law School, 5.15 to 6.

Tues., and Thurs.--1902, 3.30 to 4.30; 1903, 4.30 to 6.

Yesterday afternoon all the crews were on the river, besides numerous extra men who went out in pairs and fours. Donovan coached from his single, paying particular attention to the rhythm of the stroke and the body swing. The first crews are made up as follows:

Law School--Stroke, Snite; 7, A. DuBois; 6, H. Bancroft; 5, Wood; 4, Shepard; 3, Davis; 2, F. N. Morrill; bow, Holt.

Seniors--Stroke, C. H. Morrill; 7, Sherburne; 6, Tilton; 5, Martin; 4, Holden; 3, Hawes; 2, H. B. Stanton; bow, Ayer.

Juniors--Stroke, Evans; 7, Brainerd; 6, Burton; 5, Ivins; 4, Wheelwright; 3, DuBois, Lovejoy; 2, Gray; bow, Blake.

Sophomores--Stroke, G. Bancroft; 7, W. E. Ladd; 6, Shuebruk; 5, Emory; 4, Colby; 3, Grew; 2, Brooks; bow, Covel.

Freshmen--Stroke, E. B. Roberts; 7, George; 6, Whitwell; 5, Graydon; 4, Derby; 3, Bent; 2, Warner; bow Streit.
