The lacrosse team practiced on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon for the first time this spring. The squad was divided into two teams and a regular game was played. Only one goal was used, one side playing on the defensive through the entire practice, so that no account was taken of the score. The men have improved steadily since the work during vacation and the practice yesterday was sharp and fast, showing a good amount of team work on both sides.
The first game will be played Saturday afternoon on Soldiers Field at 3 o'clock with the Crescent Athletic Club, champions of the United States. The squad was materially strengthened yesterday by the addition of two members of last year's team, F.B. Taylor 1L and N. P. Breed 3M.
