The plans and specifications for the new Architectural and Engineering buildings are in the hands of the contractors, and bids are now being prepared by them. If the terms are satisfactory, the contracts will be signed in about three weeks, and active preparations for construction will then begin. It is probable that both buildings will be begun during the coming summer, although the present high price of building materials may delay their erection until next year. The sites are now settled; the Architectural Building will stand on the north side of Sever behind Appleton Chapel, and the Engineering Building will occupy the east end of Holmes Field.
The plans for the Semitic Museum are still uncompleted, and there is little possibility of its being built before next year.
