Freshman Team Improves.

Yesterday afternoon the Freshman eleven held its last hard practice before the game with the Yale Freshmen tomorrow. With the exception of a few fumbles, the playing of the eleven was extremely satisfactory. After a brief signal practice, the team lined up against the second and scored six touchdowns in a little over thirty minutes. Several long end runs were made, one by Randall from the middle of the field resulting in a touchdown. The line plays were successfully executed and netted regularly from five to ten yards. The principal improvements noticeable were the quick starting and united playing of the backs and the unusually strong interference. The defense was so stubborn that the second team, during the few minutes it had the ball, was practically unable to gain.

The practice this afternoon will consist simply of light signal work.
