In spite of the cold wind yesterday, all the class crews were on the river except the Weld Seniors--twenty eights in all, ten from each club. Besides these there was a four-oar crew at the Weld and several pairs at both clubs. The Freshmen had nine crews out, five from the Weld and four from the Newell, but as yet they have not been definitely graded. Both Vail and Donovan coached from the coxswain's seat, and D. D. Evans '01 criticized the Weld Freshmen.
