At the Harvard Free Library in East Cambridge, which now contains 450 volumes for children from 7 to 14 years of age, six clubs have been organized for children between the ages of 12 and 14 years, and are under the direction of Harvard men. Each club meets once a week for about an hour. H.S. Drinker '01 and D. Gregg '02, have charge of the athletic club, G. Bell '01 of the dramatic club, W. A. Boal 1L., and M. H. Urner '02 of the social club; F.R. Cope, Jr., '01, of the natural history club, S. Thurber, Jr., '03 of the industrial club, and T. Stokes '03 of the out door club.
The library is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 4 to 5.30, and requires the presence of four men to take charge of it. This work is also being done by Harvard men.
